About 48 Flavours​

In 2014, 48Flavours was born in Mildura, Victoria! The concept was based on local fresh produce,  made fresh daily  and emphasis on providing Mildura with the highest quality and unique Flavours.

Why call it 48 Flavours?

Why 48 Flavours?
The main reason of course is that it represents the range that we have in store each day of the week however it means a lot more. It means that we always have a range of twelve dairy free sorbets made with fresh fruit that are vegan. 

With such as extensive range it allows us to be creative like with our award winning champion gelato in the South australian Dairy Awards 2017; Pear, Gorgonzola, Organic Fig and Roasted Walnut. It also gives us enough flavours to keep all the traditionals like Pistachio, Hazelnut, Chocolate , Vanilla etc.  

What has contributed to the success of the brand?

The biggest reason why this brand has been so successful is that we are reacting to the market and giving them what they want. We are constantly changing our range of flavours and concentrating on new markets all the time. The emphasis is on quality produce using local fresh organic produce from the sunraysia district where ever we can.

Service is paramount to the positive in store experience of the customer, with informative staff that know their product.  Because we make the product, we know what is in it and can advise the customers with confidence.

We have safety protocols in place to take care of those customers with allergies as well. All you need do, is advise us before ordering.

Why is the 48 Flavours brand so important?

It was of paramount importance from the inception to have a store that had unique and creative branding, that would set itself apart from other similar businesses.

With so many other franchises available on the Australian market,  we understood that clever and strong branding was the one of the most important aspects (apart from the product and service) of this business being successful.

What sets 48flavours apart from the competitors?

The Australian Ice cream industry has essentially 3 types of shops (franchises)

1. Buys in bulk made ice cream form a variety of large  suppliers, many of whom also sell the same product into the big supermarkets.eg. Cold Rock

2. Buy the kits from the suppliers mentioned above or from their franchise production facility.. These kits are the milk and flavours mixed in a bag or bucket, ready to be frozen on site with a small churn..
​Eg. Royal Copenhagen and Gelatissimo etc.

3. Make their product from scratch. This is essentially and highest quality offering with the most unique flavours. Eg. 48flavours
